To amend an act approved November 9, 1861, entitled
An act to authorize Executors, Administrators, Guar-
dians and Trustees to make loans to the Confederate
Stutes, and to purchase, and reasive in payment of
debts due them, Bonds and Tresury Notes of the Con-
federate States, or the State of Alabama, and cou-
pons which are due on Bonds of the Confederate
States and of said State.
Sic. 1. .Be it enacted by the Senate and Iouse of Repre-
sentatives of the State of' Alabama in General Aee8embly
convened, That executors, administrators, guardians and May sell crops
trtostees may sell the crops of estates committed to r Bonds *or
them, respectively, for the bonds or treasury notes of Troasury Note.
the Confederate States,.or State of Alabama, and cou-
polns which may be due on such bonds, without incur-
ring any personal responsibility by so doing, and the
bonds, treasury notes or coupons received in payment
for such crops shall be assets of the estates for which
such crops are sold, and be accounted foras such.

To authorize Executors, Administrators, Guardians and
Trustees to remove slaves to a place of safety in case
of invasion.
Sac. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Reprc-
sentatives of the State of Alabama in General Assembly
convened, That executors, administrators, guardians and
trustees be, and they are hereby authorized to renmove
slaves in their charge to a place of safety, in or out of
the State of Alabama, whenever, by reason of an actual
threatened invasion of the country, there may be dan-
ger of thb escape, or capture by the public enemy, of
such slaves. -
