To amend An Act incorporating the Town of Carrollton, in
Pickens County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Rep.
resentatives of the State of .A1labama in General uAssembly
convened, That section first of the above entitled act, be, and
the same is hereby amended, by substituting after the word
Charier   a lafnd, the words ' one half, for the words c three-fourths ;I
amended.  that is to say, making the marginal lines of said corporate lim-
its, one quarter, instead of three-eighths of a mile equidistant
east, west, north and south, from the centre of the present court
house of said town.
See. 2. Aind be it further enacted, That section fourth of
Repeal.   said incorporate act be amended, by striking out the word
 Provided, and all thereafter of said section.
Sec. 3. .And be itfurther'enucled. That the tenth section of
said act be stricken out, and the following be inserted in its
streess.  place: that all free white males within said corporate limits,
between the ages of eighteen and foriy-five, and all black male
persons between the ages of sixteen and fifty, shall be liable,
and are hereby required to work on the streets, roads and alleys
of said town, not exceeding ten days in any one year: Provided,
Proviso.  every such person shall be exempt from said work, by paying
such street tax as the corporate authorities may impose, not ex-
ceeding five dollars per annum.

[No. 121.]              AN ACT
To incorporate the Town of Mooresville, in the County of
Limestone.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Rep.
resentatives oj' the State of Alabama, in General Assembly
convened, That the town of Alooresville, in the county of
Limestone, be, and the same is hereby incorporated; and the
Corporate  territorial limits of said incorporation shall be bounded on the
goaits,   north by Lauderdale street, including the house, lot and walk
of William K. Adams; on the east by a line running thirty-
five yards east of Broad street; on the south, by a line running
sixty yards south of Spring street, and on the west by the
eastern branch of Piney creek.
Sec. 2. .And be it further enacted, That an election shall
be held within said incorporation, on the second Monday in
February next, and biennially thereafter, for the election of a
Election of Mayor and four Aldermen, inhabitants of said town, who shall
officers.  serve for the term of two years, and until their successors are
duly elected and qualified; and if said election shall not take
