For the relief of Charles J. Barnett, of Pike County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House qf Rep-
resentatives qf the State of .iaubama in General Assembly
bly convened, That the Governor be authorized to remit the
line and imprisonment imposed at the fail term, in the year
eighteen hundred and forty-four, of the Circuit Court of Pike
County, upon Charles J. Barnett, for illegalvoting; any law to the
contrary notwithstanding.

[No. 300.]              AN   ACT
For the relief of Augustus C. Hawkins, of the County of Macon.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Rep.
Authorized to resentatives of the State of Vlabama in General Assembly
practice mud. convened, That Doctor Augustus C. Hawkins, of the County
* of Macon, be authorized to practise medicine in the Stie of Al-
abama, without a license from any medical board in this State.
See. 2. .2nd be it further enacted, That the said Augus.
tus C. Hawkins be discharged from  all the penalties he may
have incurred by practising medicine in this State without a
diploma or license ; and that the said Augustus C. Hawkins,
have all the rights and privileges of other physicians authorized
to practise nedicine in the State of Alabama; any law, usage or
custom to the contrary notwithstanding..

Lg'timating the Children of John Rapier.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Re.
presentatives qf the State of .'labama, in General Assern.
btll convened, That the following  named children of John
6Itapier, a free man or color, viz: Richard, Henry, John and
idreen 'e. James, b, and they are hereby ligitirnated, as the children of
John II. Iapier, and capable both in law and equity of receiving
and inheriting the estate of the said father, to all Inteuts and
purposes as though they had been born in lawful wedlock.
