For the relief of Arthur Johns.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Re-
presentatives of the Stale of .labana, in General Asen-
bly convened, That his Excellency the Governor, be, and he is
hereby authorized to pardon Arthur Johns, a convict in the
Penitentiary, sentenced by the Circuit Court of Russell counity,
if in his opinion the circumstances under which the conviction
and imprisonment was had, or if extenuating circumstances, will
justify such pardon.

To conpensate J. C. Rawlq, Sheriff of Tallapoosa County, for
certain services therein mentioned.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Re-
presentativev of the Slate of Alabama, in General dssem-
bly convened, That the sum of thirty dollars, he, and the same compensa
is hereby allowed Joseph C. Rawls, Sheriff of Tallapoosa coun- don.
ly, for services rendered by him in the conveyance of a certain
prisoner from Tallapoosa county, to Talladega county, in obe-
dience to n certain writ of capias to him directed, at the in.
stance of the State of Alabama, and that the said sum be paid
out of any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.

For the relief of Parker S. Beasley, of Montgomery County.
Section 1. ie it enacted by the Senate and H1ouse of Re.
presentatives of the Slate of qiabama, in General 4sem-
bly convened, That the Comptroller of Public Accounts, be,
and he is hereby authorized to issue his warrant upon the State
Treasurer, for the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars, in fa.
vor of Parker S. Beasley, the same being the compensation al-
lowed for a negro woman slave, the property of the said Parker
S. Beasley, and who was executed in March, eighteen hundred
and forty-three, in obedience to an order of the Circuit Court
of Montgomery. county.
