all debts that may become due, owing, or belonging to said In-
stitution, as the property thereof.
Sec. 2. Anhzd be it further enacted, That said Trustees shall

such by-laws, and regulations as may conduce to the rood order
and well being of said Institution.

prohibited. wise dispose of the same, within one mile of said Institution,

To provide for taking the Census of the State of Alabama,
for the year one thousand eight hundred and forty-fotir, and
for other luPoseS.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Ilep-
resentativyes of the State of .dlabarna in Geneal ..ssembly
convened, That the Judge of the County Court, and Cornmis-
I'erom in ie sioners of Roads and Revenue, ini each county, shal I on the
appointed to first Monday of April, Anno Doinini, one thousand eight hun-
tk de cen-dred and forty-four, at a special term of the court, to be called
for that piuirpose, elect a fit person to take the Census or cnu-
meration of the inhabitants of their respective couities, for the
said year; and the person so elected, before lie enters upon the
duties of his office, shall take and subscribe the followiing oath,
Oaths.   viz: I, A B, do solemnly swear, that I will faithfully take
the Census of -     county, according to the true intent and
meaning of the I Act to provide for taking the Census of the
State of Alabama, for tihe year one thousand cight hundred
and forty-four, approved, the - day of-, Anno Dom-
ini, one thousand eight hundred and forty-four.' So help me
God.  Which oath shall be filed iin the office of the clerk of
the County Court.
