He it enacted by the Seaite and House /' Representative s of irors re.dve thea State of Alabama in General Assembly convened, That from and after $t io-m1 Al. the passage of this act, the jurors for the county of Jackson, who may bayle w.o er be drawn and serve on the regular panel of grand or petit jurors, shall be entitled to receive as compensation for their services, one dollar and lifty cents per (lay, instead of the per diem pay, that is now allowed by law; and in the county of Mobile to Iwo dollars and fifty cents per day, any law or usage to the contrary notwithstand- ing. And le it further enacted, That the tax-fee now al- lowed on each suit in the circuit court for the use of eaid county, shall be set apart by the county treasurer for the payment of the ju- rors that shall hereafter serve as grand or rctitjrors; and if said tax fee should not be sufficient to pay offsaid jurtors, it shall be the duty ofsaid treasurer to pay them out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
