late Creek Indian hostilities.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the sum appropriated by

Littleberry Rogers as agent for said company, and who shall enter
into bond and security, to be approved byJhis excellency the Gover-
nor, for the just and proper payment of the money so placed in his
hands as aforesaid, according to the true intent and meaning of this

See. 3. And be itfurther enacted, That the agent appointed by
How paid.  the second section of this act, shall make the payment to each officer,
non-commissioned officer and private, or their legal representatives,
according to the pay-rollsexamined and approved by the committee
of the House of Representativeo, a copy of which he shall procure;
and he shall cause each officer, non-commissioned officer and private,
or their legal representatives, to receipt upon said pay-rolls for the
sums paid them; which pay-roll shall be returned by the agent afore-
said, to the Executive office of this State,. withinsix months from the
passage of this act.
Sec. 4. And be stfurther enacted, That the Comptroller of Pub-
lie Accounts shallbe authorized to draw his wqrrant upQn.the State
comptroiler Treasurer, in favor of the agent appointed by the second section of this
to draw, &c. act,'for the amount herein appropriated: Provided, hwever, that the
said agent shall first produce to him satisfactory evidence that he has
complied vith the provisions of the second section of this act.

To cpepsate Pete aolbert for a slate executed a cording to law and for other
purposes.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and ffouse of Represen-
tatives of Ihe Slate of Akabania in General Assembly convened,
Appropriation That the sum of three handred ahd sixty-two dollars and fifty cents
'. Holbert. he, and the same is hereby appropriated for the payment of Pereival
Holbert for 4 slave, Ambrose, executed under the sentence of tli law;
it being one half of the value of said slave, as assessed by the jury
trying said slave.
Sec. 2. And be it further enueted, That the Corr ptroller of Public
Accounts, be, apd he is hereby authorized and required to draw his
warrant for the above amount in favor of the said Prcival Holbert;
and also bikt warrant in favor of Gideon B. Frierson, for the sum of
tOn dollars, for prbsecuting said slave to conviction; which amounts
shall he paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appro-
priated.                       Approved, December 23, 1837.
