Section 1. Re it enacted by the Sn/e (nd1 House of Rep-
,esenl/(ircs of the MoY/le of .1/b(n, in General .A7ssenhly1
conveiced, That E1lizabeth Dade, Sarah 11. Dade and Susan T.
Dadc, nov resid ing in the city of Mobile. and formerly of the
State of North Carolina, be and they are hereby relieved from the
operation of so much'of the act entitled An act to prevent, the
introduction of silaves into Alabama, and for other pu-rpoies, ap-
pif! Januarvit6, 1831, as prohibifs the hiring of slaves intro-
duced into sn idl Stlife since the passage of said act; and the said
Elizabeth, Sarh and Susan are hereby outhorised, to hirc out for
money or other valauble considerations, the following named
sinvis, to wit: Wanton, Abraham, Jferry,William, Alf'red, (corge.
Edmond, Richard, Jane, Anne, Soplhia, Maria, Delia, Laura,
Mary, 'lebe, Celia, Caroline and Henricttn; being the same
'laves brought into this State, since theopromulgation ol' said before

the defendant is. convicted, the same sum shall be recovered and
