Beit enacted by the Senate and House ofRepresen- tatives of the State of Alabama in General Assemnbly convened, Tuat the first section of the above recited act be so amended as to authorize Josiah 1). Cothern, John H. Gilmore, Benja- min C.Lansdell, Sion Smith, Hezekiah R. Wood, Abner Hill, John Sowell, Robert Irwin and Henry A. Young to raise, by lottery, the sum of ten thousand dollars by-onv or more Lottery. classes, to be appropriated according to the provisions of the act to which this is an amendment, and according to the act am .ndatory to the above recited act, approved sixteenth Jan- uary, eighteen hundred and twenty-nine. Sec. -. And be it further enacted, That the managers of the Itanagers' said lottery, or su' h of them as shall act as such, to change compensata the scheme or schemes of said lottery for their reasonable expenses and services, not exceding two dollars each per day, to be paid out and charged as other contingent expenses of said lottery. Sec. 3. And be it fArther enacted, That all acts and parts of itepeal* acts, contravening the provisions of this act, be, and the same are hereby repealed. Approved, lanuary 15, 1830.
