Whereas it has beeu represented to this ueneral Assembly lly the memorial of a large numnber of respectable inhabitants of Baldwin couity that the eniancipatini of Cyrus (Son and slave of China Evans a free woman of color,) and inhabitant and creole of said county, is the only one of a large family now held in bondage, and is an honest, industrious and well dispo- sed person. and that his emancipation will not tend to the injury of society, but will greatly coitibuth to the welfare o' the individual kimuself, Therefore, SEC. 1.
