TFurther pow-  Soc. 3. .11wl be it fui-ther enrcted, That the said corporation
or~ *     shall be able and capable in law, to purchase, have, hold, pos-
scss, cnjoy and yetain to itself in perpetuity. for tlie life of
others, or any term of years, real estate, to te value of five
thous;nd dollars, and to sell, alien and dispose of the same,
as they may think proper, and to have and possess personni
ewite to any extent,  o fur as the same will facilitate the ob-
rovi n.  ject contemplated by said corporation: Provided an election
ofsulccssors to the ahove named directors, shall take place
within six months from tile passaqe of this act,and biennially
thereafter. And to .ell, alica and dispose of the same in like
manner: and by its name above ncntioned, to sie and be su-
ed, plead and he impleaded, answer and he answered unto,
in any court of law or equity in this state; and to Make such
rules aid regulations not repugnant to- the constitution and
laws of this state or of the United States, as they may deem
froi0.  .expedient: Provide'i that nothing herein contained shall be
so construed as to authorise said corporation to exercise

ted for the payment of the accounts of certain 1ersons here.
