Sec. 2. And be itjfrther enacted, That no appeal shall be

Sec. 4. And be it fitrther enacted, That all acts and parts
of acts contrary to the provihions of this act, be, and the

'To regulate the sale of slaves by Conslables.
Section 1. Be it enacted 61/ the Senate anwd House f Represco-
tatives of the state of Alaiunus in (Gnenrl .4ssebiyi concened,
That hereafter all slaves levied on by any constable by vir-

Franklin counties, in this state, north of the line dividing

ties of Lawrence and Franklin, and belonging to defendants
residing north of said township line, shall be sold, if in the
county of Lawrence, on the public square in the town of
Courtland; and if in the county of Franklin, on the publc.
square in the town of Tuscumbia.
