'On August 24, 1935 Nueces-County, being in the population bracket of 37,501 to 60,000 the fee officers maximum salary wee *3,750.00. However$ Article 3883 allows this amount to be increased by $300.00, which represents one third of exoess fees, thereby making the mazi- mun f, 250.00.
