OPINION NO. 2001-01

OPEN MEETING LAW: BOARDS &
COMMISSIONS: MEETINGS: If a person
has requested notice of meetings, the Open
Meeting Law requires the public body to
mail a copy of the notice and agenda to the
requestor at least three working days before

requirements of the statute. However, a
person may waive the right to notice by
regular mail and instead receive three days
notice by e-mail, so long as the waiver is
informed, intelligent, and voluntary.
