Dear Mr. Simpson:
This is in response to your request for an opinion
concerning the following:
QUESTION:      May the Commission purchase Government
National Mortgage Association certificates with school fund
money?
CONCLUSION:   Yes'
ANALYSIS:      Section 123-4-1, C.R.S. 1963, provides
as follows:
Investments - (1) All school funds of the state,
whether permanent or income, unless otherwise dis-
posed of by law, shall be invested as directed by.
the state board of land commissioners in any one
or more or all, of the following ways, at the dis-
cretion of said board:
(2) In interest-bearing warrants of the state of
Colorado.
(3) In bonds of the state of Colorado.
