However, pursuant to the opinion published in 1962 by Dr. Suhardjo, Minister of Justice, and later confirmed in an official circular issued by the Supreme Court, these Codes should not be considered strict codifications of the law, but simply as guides or commentaries to assist the cour:s in arriving at judgments. The drawer may state that presentation for acceptance is unnecessary, except in the case of bills which are payable at a certain time after sight. Bills may also stipulat^ that the presentation for acceptance is not to take place before a certain date.
