          Research on School Violence

                   Across the World



  As this edition of the Journal of School Violence illustrates, creative
inquiry into the challenge of school violence exists across many na-
tions. Many of the world's leading researchers on school violence will
come together in Bordeaux, France, in January 2006 at an international
conference focused on Violence in Schools, Public Policies and Social
Inclusion of Young People.
  The scientific committee for this conference consists of many inter-
