HIGHLIGHTS OF TODAY'S ACTIONS
LABOR RELATIONS--MILLER ACT
The Miller Act, 40 U. S. C. 11270a(l)(2), 270b, makes
a surety liable on a payment bond furnished by a contrac-
tor for the delinquent contributions to a health and wel-
fare fund, for the protection of persons supplying labor
for the construction of federal public buildings. No. 48,
U. S. v. Carter, reversed and remanded, p. 965.
PATENTS--VENUE OF INFRINGEMENT ACTION
In an infringement action against this corporatiozn,
28 U. S. C. 11400(b) is the sole and exclusive provision
controlling venue, and is not to be supplemented by the
provisions of 28 U. S. C. §1391(c). No. 310, Fourco Glass
Co. v. Transmirra Corp., reversed and remanded, p. 975.
ALIENS--SUPERVISION FOLLOWING DEPORTATION ORDER
Section 242(d) of the Immigration and Nationality Act
of 1952 does not permit questioning of an alien, against
whom a final order of deportation had been outstanding for
more than six months, as to present membership in and ac-
tivities in behalf of the Communist Party so that failure
to answer such questions constitutes a criminal offense.
