BULLETIN

OF THE SECTION ON CORPORATION, BANKING & BUSINESS LAW

Volume 9 SEPTEMBER 1970 No. 1

                               INVITATION TO SECTIONAL MEMBERSHIP
The Committee cordially extends an invitation to you to join the Section on Corporate, Banking and
Business Law. Membership entitles you to receive the Bulletin. Those applying for membership will also receive,
to the extent available, a copy of Incorporation Planning in Texas, a collection of materials to be used in
conjunction with a film of an identical title, and a reprint of Robert W. Hamilton's article Corporations and
Partnerships, published originally in 24 Southwestern Law Journal 91. There is included for your convenience
an application for membership on the last page of the Bulletin.
For the busy reader, there will be a synopsis of the latest pertinent federal and state legislation and cases.
From time to time the Bulletin will include articles which the editor feels are highly beneficial, but because of their
nature are not likely to appear in a journal aimed at the busy practitioner.
The Section title indicates the breadth of topics that will be covered in the forthcoming volume. Such areas of
the law as anti-trust, banking, bankruptcy, contracts, corporations, Uniform Commercial Code, franchising,
partnerships and securities will be touched upon.

                                          ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
We wish to take this opportunity on behalf of the Section on Corporation, Banking & Business Law to thank
those individuals and organizations which have made possible the publication of the Bulletin for the coming term
of 1970-1971. We extend our appreciation to Fidelity Printing Company, Inc. of Houston, Texas, which has
agreed to print six issues of the Bulletin for a year as a service to the Texas Bar Association. To Mr. Claude P.
Bordwine, Jr., Member of the Texas Bar Association, we extend our gratitude for the marvelous job Mr. Bordwine
did in collecting recent Texas and Federal cases pertaining to the topics contained herein. Without the assistance
of both Fidelity and Mr. Bordwine, our task would indeed be an insurmountable one.
