Andrea Bear Field Assumes Section Chair;
Stoll Becomes Chair-Elect


                           1. Andrea Bear Field is a
                           partner in the Washington,
                           D.C., office of Hunton
                           & Williams, where she has
                           an extensive environmental
                           and administrative law
                           practice.
                             She has been an active
                           member of the Section of
                           Natural Resources, Energy,
                           and Environmental Law
                           for the last decade. Before
                   ..      serving as chair-elect and
                           vice-chair of the Section,
                           she was a member of
                           the Section's Council,
during which time she organized the Section's first two
national teleconferences on hazardous waste issues. Before
that, she was active in and chaired the Section's Air Quality
Committee. Since 1982, she has overseen production of
the Section's audio-cassettes, which cover current significant
developments in environmental and energy law.
  Ms. Field also participates in other ABA activities. She is
now serving on the Conference of Section Chairs' Ad
Hoc Committee on National Institutes, and she is a member
of the ABA Sections of Litigation and Business Law. In
the Business Law Section, she co-chairs the Subcommittee
on Environmental Legislation.

Nominee for Chair-Elect
2. Richard G. Stoll is a partner in the Washington, D.C.,
law firm of Freedman, Levy, Kroll & Simonds, where
he specializes in environmental law-primarily in the haz-
ardous waste area. His former positions include deputy
general counsel of the Chemical Manufacturers Association
and assistant general counsel of the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency. Mr. Stoll has published many articles
and book chapters on environmental law issues and speaks
frequently on professional programs. He has been a mod-
erator on each of the Section's environmental teleconfer-
ences. In addition to serving on the Section Council from
1985 to 1988, he has served as chairman of the Section's
Solid and Hazardous Waste Committee and the Water
Quality Committee, and was the 1988 Annual Program
Chairman.
  He received his law degree from Georgetown University.
He has taught a course in environmental law and policy
at the University of Virginia for the last eight years.

3. Robert W. Clark is a partner in the law firm of Suther-
land, Asbill & Brennan, working in its Washington, D.C.,
office. He specializes in energy regulation and antitrust
matters.
  Bob is currently chair of the Annual Meeting Program
for Honolulu. He is currently serving a three-year term
which expires this year. He has been vice-chair and chair of
the Natural Gas Transportation and Marketing Committee.
