stated to be ~to discuss quostions pertainiig to taxation
in the State of Michigan, both legal and economical. It
will contain editorial discussions on evey snlject of tax-
ation in this State, together with all points of interest
arising under the new tax law of 18b2 It will also con-
tain such decisions of the judges of the various Cireuit
Courts of this State as can be obtained of cases arising
under the new tax law, or in any way pertaining to taxes,
taxation. or kindred subjects. The proprietor hopes to
make THE TAx Lkw REPoT'-ER a valuable aid to super_
visors and other assessing officers. and to aid to sone ex-
tent in making the practice under the new Act of 1882
uniform througiout the State. And that the work may
be useful in inaugurating this new system, by reflecting
the cotemporaneous views and decisions of those whose
duty it is to adninister its provisions, it will fearlessly
discuss all questions that may arise. It will be actuated
by a feeling friendly to the success of the new system. It
