I begin by recognizing Arlene Saxonhouse for her many years of sustained commitment to the journal and invaluable service on the Executive Editorial Committee. Anyone who knows Arlene will not be surprised to find me thanking her for gracious, thoughtful, always fair-minded assistance with matters that ranged from the journal's scholarly practices and publications to its academic policies and administrative activities. My deep appreciation also extends to Arlene for her part in encouraging both authors and editors in these pages to reflect deeply and originally on subjects of concern to the field, from varying domains, including classical studies, early modern political thought, gender and women's studies, contemporary democratic theory, and the interpretation of texts. Arlene doesn't just study accountability and leadership, she exhibits them in full. With great pleasure, I also announce the arrival of two new members of the journal's Executive Editorial Committee: Danielle S. Allen and Roxanne L. Euben. Danielle Allen is UPS Foundation Professor in the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study. Her specializations include democratic theory, political sociology, and the history of political theory with emphasis in classical studies and Greek political theory. Danielle is the author of numerous books and articles, including The World of Prometheus: The Politics of Punishing in Democratic Athens (2000), Talking to Strangers: Anxieties of Citizenship Since Brown v. Board of Education (2004), and Why Plato Wrote (2010). Roxanne Euben is Ralph Emerson and Alice Freeman Professor of Political Science at Wellesley College. She specializes in com- parative political theory, particularly Islamic political thought and Muslim feminist thought; the history of Euro-American political thought; contemporary critical theory; postmodernism; and feminist theory. Roxanne's many publica- tions include Enemy in the Mirror: Islamic Fundamentalism and the Limits of Modern Rationalism (1999); Journeys to the Other Shore: Muslim and Western Travelers in Search of Knowledge (2006); and Princeton Readings in Islamist Thought, with MQ Zaman (forthcoming). I look forward to working with Danielle and Roxanne as they begin their respective 6-year terms on the Executive Editorial Committee of PT.
