He was appointed to the Treasury List, Central Criminal Court in 1973 and has been Chairman of Inner London Juvenile Courts since 1980. He is on the Liaison Committee of the Inner London Probation Service and has been a member of the Executile Committee of the Central Council of Probation for England and Wales since 1982.
