The 33rd Annual Meeting of the Young Lawyers Sec-
tion, held in llonolulu, llawaii last August, marked the
election of Gene E. Wilkins of Indianapolis as National
Chairman of the Section. Mr. Wilkins, who served as
Vice-Chairman of the Section during the past year, is a
graduate of the University of Indiana Law School and a
partner in the Indianapolis law firm of Bamberger and
Feibleman.
The Annual Meeting was also highlighted by the
election of Richard E. Wiley, of the Chicago law firm of
Chadwell, Keck, Kayser, Ruggles & McLaren, as Na-
tional Vice-Chairman. Under Section Bylaws, Wiley, a
a graduate of Northwestern Law School, will be elected
Chairman of the Section next August. Moving up to
National Secretary was Thomas D. Cochran of Independ-
ence, Missouri. Cochran, a partner in the law firm of
Piedimonte and Cochran, received his legal education
from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
All three officers have had considerable experience
in various capacities with the American Bar Associa-
tion, and are well prepared for their positions of high
responsibility with the Section.

BATCHELOR TO SERVE AGAIN
AS EDITOR-IN-CHIEF OF LAW NOTES
James D. Batchelor of Oklahoma City, who has been
associated with Law Notes since its inception, was re-
appointed by Section Chairman Gene E. Wilkins to serve
as Editor-in-chief of th,- publication for another year.
Batchelor thus will continue as head of a Young Law-
yers Section staff of associate editors.
Various additional appointments to this staff were
immediately announced by Editor Batchelor. These ap-

ASSEMBLY OFFICERS: MULLEN AND MURRAY
The Young Lawyers Section Assembly, (luring the
Ann ml Meeting, also named Joseph W. Mullen of New
York City, and Robert P. Murray of Lakeland, Florida,
to the important positions of Speaker and Clerk, respec-
tively. Mullen, associated with the Metropolitan Life
Insurance Company, served as Assembly Clerk last
year, while Murray was successful in defeating Richard
II. Kyle of St. Paul, in the election for Clerk. Mr. Mur-
ray is a partner in the Lakeland law firm of Holland,
Bevis, Smith, Kibler & lall.
