Plan now to attend the 1972 Annual Meeting in San Francisco.
We promise that this year's session is one you won't want to
miss. The program planned by Section Chairman Frederic C.
Anderson should be useful and interesting for every
practitioner in the field of labor law.
The overall topic for the Annual Meeting will be
PROCEDURAL PROBLEMS OF THE AGENCY AND THE
PRACTITIONER. The specific subjects and the program
directors are as follows:
I.Under the National Labor Relations Act.
Program Director, Charles G. Bakaly, Jr.
2.Before the Office of Labor-Management and Welfare
Pension Report.
Program Director, Howard J. Schulman
3.Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.
Program Director, William F. Joy
4.Under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as
amended.
Program Director, Robert J. Connerton
The program for each subject area will be limited strictly to

MEETING SHAPING UP:
ON PRACTICAL PROBLEMS
90 minutes. The first half of this time period will be utilized
by an Agency speaker. Then, the second half will be divided
between a Union lawyer and a Management lawyer. To ensure
maximum effectiveness for the presentations, it is planned that
the speakers for each program will exchange advance texts.
This procedure should allow for criticisms and suggestions
from every viewpoint to be presented for the benefit of all
members of the Section.
Each of the subjects will emphasize a practical bread and
butter and how-to-do-it approach. At the same time the
subjects will be developed to reflect the desire of our Section
to contribute to the improvement of the law and the
administration of justice.
On the opening day of the Annual Meeting, Monday, August
14, 1972, the Secretary of our Section, Theodore J. St.
Antoine, Dean of the University of Michigan Law School, will
iliscuss Labor Law Decisions of the Supreme Court-1971
Term. On that same afternoon, Howard J. Anderson, of
BNA, will present his views on 'Tending Legislation.
The Annual Section Luncheon will be held at noon on
Tuesday, August 15th. John Paul Jennings and Charles F. Prael
