The Chief Justice said:
 Since the court adjourned, Mr. Justice Clarke has resigned as a
member of this court and the President has accepted his resignation.
The President has nominated and the Senate has confirmed Mr.
George Sritherland to the vacancy thus created. The clerk will read
the commission.
The clerk then read the commission, and immediately thereafter
