  The Chief Justice said:
  I have the honor to announce, on behalf of the Court, that the Octo-
ber 2022 Term  of the Supreme  Court of the United States is now
closed, and the October 2023 Term is now convened.

              CERTIORARI-SUMMARY DISPOSITIONS

  No. 22-1236. Jorge Armando Ayala Chapa, Petitioner v. Merrick B.
Garland, Attorney General. On petition for writ of certiorari to the
United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Petition for writ
of certiorari granted. Judgment vacated, and case remanded to the
United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit for further consid-
eration in light of Santos-Zacaria v. Garland, 598 U. S. (2023).
  No. 22-7229. Manuel Ovante, Jr., Petitioner v. Arizona. On petition
for writ of certiorari to the Superior Court of Arizona, Maricopa
County. Motion of petitioner for leave to proceed in forma pauperis
and petition for writ of certiorari granted. Judgment vacated, and case
remanded  to the Superior Court of Arizona, Maricopa County for fur-
ther consideration in light of Cruz v. Arizona, 598 U. S.  (2023).

                   ORDERS  IN PENDING  CASES

  No. 23A96. Henry  Klein, Applicant v. Louisiana Office of Discipli-
nary Counsel. Application for stay addressed to Justice Kagan and re-
ferred to the Court denied.
  No. 23A99. Brigetta D'Olivio, Applicant v. Hilary Thompson Hutson.
Application for stay addressed to Justice Thomas and referred to the
Court denied.
  No. 23A112. Ronald Boyajian, Applicant v. United States. Applica-
tion for stay addressed to Justice Jackson and referred to the Court
denied.

Health. Application for injunction addressed to Justice Jackson and
