Tucker, who preceded me as Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Legal Studies Education. Under his leadership it grew in size and quality. The Journal experienced significant progress in the last two years, and we are looking forward to continued progress and development. Ed initiated an orderly transition and forwarded to me all the accepted articles that were not published during his term. We have a significant backlog of ar- ticles, but we will attempt to publish all the remaining articles that were accepted during Ed's term in Volume 6, Issues 1 and 2. One of the reasons for the backlog is that prior to this year we have been only publishing one issue per year. We want to thank Terry M. Dworkin, who provided yeoman's service in supervising the printing and distribution of the Journal at Indiana University, even after completion of her term as Editor-in-Chief. We also owe a debt of gratitude to Indiana University for its continuous support to and nurturing of the Journal as it matured and grew from its infancy - that first experimental issue that came out in the Spring of 1983. This is the first time that the Journal has not been published at Indiana University. The Editorial Board has accepted with regret the resignation of William G. Elliott, Business Manager. Bill has truly been devoted to the Journal and the American Business Law Association. His service has contributed to the Journal and his significant efforts will be missed. Bill resigned his position effective August, 1988 to provide sufficient lead time to locate a suitable replacement. Edwin Tucker launched the effort to have the Journal indexed. This is a goal toward which the Editorial Board will continue to strive. The Journal also has begun a subscription drive. We appreciate the support of all our members who have asked their libraries to subscribe: If you have not already done so, please encourage your librarian to place an order through the Editor-in-Chief. We are negotiating with reprint com- panies and expect the Executive Committee of the American Business Law Association to approve a contract for this service at their mid-year meeting. The Editorial Board invites authors to submit manuscripts. Ap- propriate topics include curriculum development, responses to lead ar- ticles, and instructional methodology. The Journal has a policy of publishing book reviews and reviews of other teaching materials including computer software, films, and classroom exercises.
