For example, many organizations are shifting from functional structures to networked structures, individual careers move from tracks to sequences of project assignments, and team-based organizations require self- management and governance skills at work.' In some organizations and industries change takes place rapidly and on such a scale that business school graduates are entering work situations that may differ a great deal from what was identified in their collegiate education. The advent this decade of e-commerce and e-corporations has challenged many well-known and, perhaps, comfortable business relationships.' Many commonly understood relationships have been turned topsy-turvy with the new reality that the customer has attained more control over purchase, trade, and other relationships. Web-based and individual search economies may replace distribution economies and the traditional logic of advertising and marketing becomes inverted.
