I would like to take this opportunity express my appreciation
for the opportunity to be the editor for the Journal of Family
Violence (JOFV) for the past five years. The new editor,
Rebecca Macy, is taking over the journal this year as part of
the rotation. She will be handling the reviews and the editing
for the journal now. Feel free to contact her with any ques-
tions. The first few issues this year will complete the articles
that were submitted during the past year that we accepted.
It has been a pleasure working with all of the edito-
rial board and reviewers of the journal during the past
five years. We were able to develop an enhanced and
organized system of peer reviews and editing, and to create
an on-line backlog of quality articles to be published in the

journal. I appreciate the efforts that many put in to make the
peer review system successful, and to improve the quality of
the articles we have been able to publish.
I want to acknowledge the efforts of my staff who have
worked on the journal and have been largely responsible for
the success we have seen. I would like to thank Jessica
Mueller who has been the Senior and Managing Editorial
Assistant for the past couple of years, and Sarah Robinson
and Leah Dockler who have been Editorial Assistants for this
process with JOFV. They have been a pleasure to work with in
this endeavor. My best wishes go to the new editor as she
transitions into this role.
Thank you again for all of your support. Take care.
