The Evaluation and Settlement of Personal Injury Claims
John R. Foutty 5
It is so difficult to tell a claimant the value of his injury,
pain, suffering and disability. Settlement evaluation is an
approximation. It utilizes precedent. The author of this
article suggests that settlement evaluation be aided by care-
ful analysis of jury verdicts and prior claims. He discusses
his experience in this procedure.
The Federal Tort Claims Act T. L. Lawrence 17
This article is written by the Tort Claims Officer of the
Social Security Administration. The waiver of the federal
law operates in three ways: one, in favor of the injured
person; two, in favor of the insurer whose right has been
subrogated to that of the injured person; and three, in favor
of joint tortfeasors. You will like this article, because it
discusses the act section by section and subject by subject.
