Griswold to Greet New Class

About 535 Are Expected
Dean Erwin N. Griswold will formally greet more than
500 members of the first-year class at 4 P. M. Sunday in the
Ames Court Room in Austin Hall.
Early this week, the School had 544 acceptances for the
class, including twenty-three women. Admissions Director
Louis A. Toepfer said he expected last minute withdrawals to
cut the total to about 535. This is just about the right size,
he said. Last year's class began with 558.
Registration for the first-year students will be held
today in the Langdell Library. Persons with surnames begin-
ning with the letters A to K will register between 10 A. M.
and noon. Those with names L to Z will register between 2
and 4 P. M.
