MASS., FEBRUARY 1, 1962 NO. 1 Class Election Scheduled Class of 1962 elections will be held Tues- (lay, February 20, the recently-formed Ad Hoc Class Committee has announced. Stu- dents desiring to be elected to a position in the Class government must submit their nominating petitions at the Receptionist's Desk by 5 p. in., Monday, February 12. The election rules which have been adopt- ed for the 1962 Class Elections appear in a memorandum prepared by the Ad Hoe Com- mittee. Copies of this memorandum are available at the Distribution Center and the Receptionist's Desk in Langdell Hall. The Class of 1962 will elect a Class Mar- shal, Class Secretary and three Class Com- mitteemen. This body will then elect, with due regard for geographical representation, four other class members to serve on the Class Committee. The Class Marshal serves as master of ceremonies at Class functions and initiates and co-ordinates activities of the Committee. The Class Secretary maintains liaison with the Law School Alumni Office and initiates reunions every five years. The Secretary customarily prepares a newsletter contain- ing information about class members. The Class Committeemen serve as the regional liaison with the Secretary and often initiate and co-ordinate regional and local alumni activities, The Ad Hoc Committee will post early in February a tentative draft of the Class Charter for third year students to examine. Richard B. Dyson, Salem, New Hamp- shire, is the Chairman of the Ad Hoc Com- mittee. Serving with him are Mary Ann Abend, Syracuse, New York; Nancy J. Cribbs, Rochester, Minnesota- Clark P. Worden III An all-out search for talent for the second annual (new series) Law School Variety Show is on, it was announced today by Rich- ard Glazer, 3L, Trenton, New Jersey, chair- man of the Dormitory Council's Theatre Sub-committee. All types of talent, including but not limit- ed to acting, singing, writing and direction, are needed for the production scheduled for Saturday, March 24. Last year's show, presented to a capacity crowd at Radcliffe's Agassiz Theatre, was called the entertainment highlight of the (Continued on Page 8)
