Submissions may be on any topic relevant to the Ethiopian legal community, including analysis of domestic or international laws and cases, the African Union and other international organizations, challenges and lessons from domestic practice, and original field research. We will make publication decisions within one month of receiving a submission. All articles and citations will be carefully edited and formatted by the editors prior to publication. An offer of publication is conditional on the author working with the editors to reach consensus on the final edited version. If agreement is not reached, the author will have the option to withdraw the article. Authors are expected to respond to editing requests promptly. Although a fairly new institution, the College has already won or placed highly in an impressive number of national and international moot court competitions. Recent years have seen the College significantly expand its educational and outreach opportunities through the creation of a Social Justice Center, an Environmental Policy Center, and an Advocacy Skills Center. The Haramaya Law Review is the College of Law's first official publication, and as such represents a major benchmark for the school. It is our hope that, as the Law Review grows and improves, it will become both an incentive and an example of scholarly achievement for the College, the University, and the Ethiopian legal community.
