handle is hein.journals/fmlcr37 and id is 1 raw text is: EDITORIAL NOTES AN ISSUE OF FCCR FIRSTS Each issue of FCCR is a small historical milestone, as befits the profes- sional journal of a constantly evolving and vibrant interdisciplinary associa- tion promoting humane resolution of family conflict. This is an especially important issue with many firsts for FCCR. HOFSTRA LAW SCHOOL COSPONSORSHIP This is the first issue of Family and Conciliation Courts Review (FCCR) that is formally cosponsored by my professional home base, Hofstra Univer- sity School of Law. The cover and the masthead have been revised to reflect Hofstra's cosponsorship. I hope that this issue is the beginning of a produc- tive partnership that will, over time, increase FCCR's visibility in the legal community while continuing to expand its usefulness to the diverse profes- sional backgrounds of Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) members. The members of the Hofstra and AFCC communities who made cospon- sorship possible deserve special recognition and thanks. On the Hofstra side, Dean Stuart Rabinowitz and Vice Dean M. Patricia Adamski helped guide and shape the cosponsorship proposal; Professor Mitchell Gans chaired a special Faculty Committee that reviewed and supported it. Other Committee mem- bers included Professors Robert A. Baruch Bush (whom many AFCC mem- bers know from his groundbreaking scholarship on transformative media- tion), Janet L. Dolgin, and David A. Diamond. The Committee also benefited from the input of Professor John Gregory. On the AFCC side, Hon. Alastair Nicholson and Ann Milne made a timely visit to Hofstra last February to dis- cuss the cosponsorship proposal with the special Faculty Committee and left a lasting positive impression of AFCC in the Law School community. NEW EDITORIAL BOARD MEMBERS Another first for this issue is the masthead listing of several new Editorial Board members. A brief biography will introduce them to AFCC members and indicate the contribution each makes to the Editorial Board.
