At the mid-year meeting of the Executive Committee held at Chicago, January 12th and 13th, the East prevailed in its invitation to the League to hold its annual convention on the Atlantic sea board and ASBURY PARK, N. J. at the New Monterey Hotel is the place. Asbury Park is an ideal Atlantic Coast resort with fine bathing and only fifty miles from New York. The New Monterey is a new, elegant and sumptuous hotel but reasonable rates are promised. The members should respond this year of all years as much of importance affecting every member and each class of membership will be acted upon. Members who have attended seldom miss a convention; those who have never attended do not realize what they lose. To know personally the members of this great virile League is to gain a friend- ship of great value; the meetings are intensely interesting and the social features are most pleasant. To the eastern members especially let me impress this thought, that to justify the League, the bulk of whose membership is in the middle and far west, in its selection of an eastern place for conven- ing this year, we from the East must show our interest by our attend- ance and our hospitality. Let nothing interfere if possible to attend. Lay your plans, make this a great convention and a pleasant vacation. Bring the ladies.
