Publication Information
The Chicago Journal of International Law (CJIL) (ISSN 1529-0816) is published twice yearly, in
the summer and the winter, by students at The University of Chicago Law School. The views expressed
herein are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of CJIL or The University of Chicago.
Subscriptions: Subscriptions cost $40 per year for domestic addresses and $45 per year for foreign
addresses. Subscription and back issue information is available online at <http://cjil.uchicago.edul
subscriptions.html>.
Submissions: CJIL seeks to publish articles making a significant, original contribution to the field of
international law and policy. In addition, the journal will consider book reviews on a limited basis.
Submissions should be sent to the Topics & Submissions Editor electronically through the ExpressO
online submission system at <http://www.law.bepress.comlexpresso> or directly to CJIL by email at
<cjil@law.uchicago.edu> or regular mail. Submission deadlines are July 1 for the winter issue and January
1 for the summer issue. CJIL does not currently accept unsolicited student work.
Editorial Policy. CJIL is committed to publishing timely and concise scholarly work. CJIL prefers
that manuscripts not exceed 18,000 words. We discourage superfluous and tedious citations. Where a
source can be discerned easily from the context, the source need not be cited.
Citations: CJIL uses the Chicago Journal of International Law Style Sheet. The CJIL Style Sheet is
available on the CJIL website at <http://cjil.uchicago.edu/style.html>.
