JIT0'S INTRO

T he articles in this edition of Conflict Resolution Quarterly (CRQ) are
enormously diverse in their subject matters: from victim-offender
dialogues, to workplace mediation, cross-cultural conflict resolution edu-
cation, mediation via passersby on a Chinese street, and concerns about
political tourism in the Middle East. What could these articles possibly
have in common? They all give us a glimpse of highly contentious arenas
for conflict and conflict resolution. Each of these articles make arguments
that will provoke deep thought and debate about whether and how conflict
should be resolved in these specific milieux. I hope they lead you to think
about your work differently and inspire new techniques or worldviews.
I also want to take this opportunity to draw your attention to a new ini-
tiative on our website. With the help of our publishers at Wiley, I have
gathered the most influential articles published by CRQ over the past five
years on various subjects such as Environmental and Public Policy Conflict
Resolution, Family Mediation, and Spirituality. Please visit our website to
access these special online editions of CRQ and share them with your col-
leagues.
