                      SUMMARY OF THE EXECUTIVE
                            BOARD MEETING

The Executive Board met on January 19, 1978.

Present were the chairpersons of the Education Committee, the
Placement Committee, Publications, and Meetings. All gave reports
on their committees: Education reported that the next meeting will
be on February 17 entitled Illinois Administrative and Legislative
Process speakers will be Robert Mann and Carole Boast. The final
education meeting will be held in April at Chicago-Kent.

The meetings committee reports that the sites for the next two
meetings have been finalized, and the national officers will be in
attendance at the March meeting along with the scheduled speaker
whose topic will be Antitrust law and trade associations. At the
May business meeting Kathy Price of Duke University will discuss
the question of Ethics.

The Publications Committee reported on the ways the Association
has been publicized this year in addition to our Newsletter. The
Placement Committee reported that in addition to the advertisement,
they sent letters to office managers and received some positive
response from that quarter.

There will again be a scholarship to CONELL. The Reids have
once again sent us a check which will go towards the attendance at
CONELL in Rochester.

There is also a very important discussion coming up at the March
meeting of C.A.L.L. regarding changing the title of our Bylaws to
Constitution and Bylaws necessitated by our filing of a Tax Exempt
Status.
