No. 59 August, 1975

                         ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING

The Chicago Association of Law Libraries Annual Business Meeting on May 9,
1975 was held at Stouffers Restaurant at the Prudential Building. Committee
chairmen for 1974/75 who were in attendance presented short summations of their
committees' year's activities. Major discussion centered on the proposed Bylaws.
Following a vote of favorable acceptance on the Bylaws, which, under Robert's
Rules of Order (3rd ed. rev. 1970), completely replace both the old Constitution
and Bylaws, an election of officers for 1975/76 was held. Although the new
Bylaws provide for a mail vote, a proviso had been added to cover the current
election and facilitate the transfer of association business.

The elected officers for 1975/76 are:
                 Richard Bowler President
                 Don Crandall President-Elect
                 Sandra Traicoff Secretary
                 Carolyn Moore Treasurer
Janice Bentley Director - 2 years
Marian McGregor Director - 1 year

The Bylaws, as passed at the Business Meeting, but minus Bylaws Committee
comments, is printed below for the record.
