Cocktails will be served at 12:00 noon and luncheon at 12:30 P.M. (luncheon, $5.00). The speaker will be Mr. Philip Corboy, president of the Chicago Bar Association. The subject will be No-Fault Insurance. VOTE TO BE TAKEN ON A NEW CONSTITUTION FOR THE CHICAGO CHAPTER The Executive Committee has asked the Newsletter to print the draft of the proposed new constitution for the Chicago Chapter. For your convenience, the old by-laws follow for the purpose of comparison. Comments, suggestions, and amendments may be offered at the meeting and may, if you like, be conveyed to Dave Bryant before the meeting. Dave has also offered to try to answer questions at any time on the phone. CONSTITUTION OF THE CHICAGO ASSOCIATION OF LAW LIBRARIES (A new draft submitted to the President and Members of the Association by the Committee on Constitution and By-Laws on May 26, 1972) Article I. Name. The name of this organization shall be Chicago Association of Law Libraries, a chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries. Article II. Obect. The Association is established for educational and scientific purposes. Its objects shall be to promote librarianship, to develop and increase the usefulness of law libraries, to cultivate the science of law librarianship and to foster a spirit of cooperation among the members of the profession. Article III. Membership. Section 1. Any person interested in law libraries may become a member of the Association by complying with the provisions of this Constitution and the By-Laws of the Association. Section 2. There shall be four classes of members: regular, associate, honorary, and life: (a) Regular Members. Any person working in a law library or engaged in legisla- tive reference work may be elected to regular membership by the Executive Board upon payment of dues.
