As a group, law librarians fail to use the services made available to them through AALL in their day-to-day operations. 2. Many people try to do too much, and many more people do too little. The ever busy and the never busy people must rethink their professional goals. 3. Contrary to some beliefs, most end products are the effort of a single person. The individual produces more than the committee. 4. Library cooperation is not really effective in practice. 5. Law librarians tend to be the last to accept new developments in the library profes- sion; very little mix. 6. Law librarians are not coming to grips with the new technology available. 7. We know too little about why we become and remain law librarians. 8. We don't pursue a self-interest program in the economic area. 9. Image and status of law librarians are poor because of us, not because of the user. Audience comments suggest that these points be taken up in discussions at other luncheons. Mr. Cohen also remarked that a forthcoming issue of the Law Library Journal will be devoted to Library Networks and Cooperation, something which this Chapter can discuss more intensely than in the past. The Bulletin will provide a forum for all signed letters and comments on Professor Cohen's remarks. The next CALL luncheon is scheduled to coincide with the Association of American Law Schools midyear meeting at the Executive House, December 27-29. Mark your calendars. PRISONS AND LAW John J.
