The olject of the bill is a decree of divorce a inculo matriionli, of complainant from deln- lant, and the award of the guardianship to her )f the iiflnt child of the parties. The substane )f the bill is that the parties married in July, 1859, and that said child is the ti-st of said mar- dage; that defendant was of dissipated habits; that his conduct towards complainant and his Lisage of her was excessively vicions and cruel; that he several times made attempts upon her life; that he has failed to support her or the said child, both being supported by her own etiorts, aided by her family and friends; that defendant abandoned and deserted complaient over three years ago; that said abandonment is delibrate and final, and without reasonable hope or expectation of reconciliation; that complainant will never again trust the safety of her life or person in the keeping of defendant, or consent to live with him again. It is thereupon, by this court, this 22d day of Septembec, 1868, ordered, That the complainant, by causing a copy of this order and of the object and snbstance of said bill to be published in some daily newspaper issued in the city ot Bal- timore, once a week four consecutive weeks be- fore the twenty-second day of October next, give notice thereof to the said non-resident de- fendant, and warm him to be and appear in this Court, in person or by solicitor, on or before the twenty-third day of January next, to answer said bill and show cause if any he hath, why a decree should not be entered as prayed, otherwise said bill will be taken pro confesso against him. IN THE CItCU[T COURT OF BALTI- MORE CITY, Sii-TiEMBER TrMw, 1868. SaiuelHarlan and John Taylor Gauscr-s. Daniel 8. Lefller. The object of this bill is to procure a release of a mnortgaee on certain property therein mnen- tioned. The bill states that the complainants, with a certain Elijah Hollingsworth, constituted the irm of Harlan, Hollingsworth, & Company, in the city of Wilmington, Delaware, until the 0th day of November, 1866. when said Elijah Hlolliugsworth departed this lifo; that whilst so conducting business in the aforesaid city, the said firm ipurchased from one George It. H. Lell'i:r certain leasehold property situate and lying In the city of Baltimore, muore particularly described in a deed of assignment dated on the 9th day of November, 1860; that said firm pur- chased said property in good faith, and paid fterefor the whole amount of purchase money mentioned in said deed-there being at that time no liens or Incumbrances thereon; that on the 19th of June, 18S, the said property was sold to one Henry Molt%, of the city of Baltimore, who was to have received a title to the same clear and unincumbered. It is further alleged that on the 17th day of February, 1844, the said Geo. R. 1I. Leflier executed a mortgage on said property to Daniel S. Leffler, the defendant in this cause, to secure the payment of certain judgments, therein described, and although the aforsaid judgments, together with all interests and costs, have long since been satisfied and paid, yet the said mort- gage remains unreleased, and operates as a cloud to the title of said proprety, and prevents the complainants from availing themselves of the sale to said Moltz; and the said Daniel S. Leffler refuses to resign and execute a release of the mortgage aforesaid, although frequently solicited to do so. The complainants seek relief in the premises by a decree of this court. It Is also al- leged that the said Daniel S. Leffler is not now a eitizen of Maryland, and does not reside therein. It is thereupon ajudged and ordered, that the complainants, by causing a copy of this order to be inserted In some daily newspaper published In the city of Baltimore, once in each of four suc- cessive weeks before the twenty-sixth day of Oc- tober, 1868, give notice to the absent defendant of the object and substance of this bill, and warn him to appear In this court in person or by soli- citor, on or before the 26th day of January, 1860, to answer the premises, and show cause, if any he has, why a decree should not pass as prayed. The object of this bill is to obtain a decree for divorce, a vinculo matrimonii, of the complainant from defendant. The bill states that the parties were married in the city of Baltimore, in the month of April, 1859; that the complainant continued to live with and provide the said defendant with every comfort until the 7th day of September last when she left him and fled from the city with a certain person, with whom and with divers other men she has, as is alleged, committed the act of adul- tery; and that he said defendant now resides out of the State of Maryland. It is thereupon ordered, this 14th day of Sep- tember, 1868, that complainant cause a copy of this order, together with the object and substance of the bill, to be inserted in some daily news- paper published in the city of Baltimore, once a week for four successive weeks before the 14th day of October, 1868, giving notice to the absent defendant in said bill, and warning her to appear in this Court, in person or by solicitor, on or be- fore the 14th day of January, 1869, to show cause why a decree should not pass as prayed.
