Do you ever wonder what other affiliates are doing to improve their programming? Search no more, just open the cache and consider the possibilities that the Affiliate Outreach Project has to offer. Bevan, Phoenix, Arizona 1995-96AOP Director It is the Young Lawyers Division mis- sion to serve as a leader in the provi- sion of services to the public and the profession. Created to further the two objectives of promoting public service and professional programming, the Affiliate Outreach Project (AOP) has served as the primary vehicle through which the Division and its affiliates have accomplished this mission. The AOP currently assists over 330 state, local, and special interest young lawyers organizations by helping to create, fund, and manage effective pub- lic and professional service programs in communities across the nation. The AOP gathers information on success- ful projects and disseminates it through several forums. The AOP's four committees are in- strumental in carrying out this goal. The National Confirences Committee produces two national conferences each year featuring the most inmovative of these projects. The AOP's publication, The Affiliate, provides YLD affiliates with program ideas and information relevant to professional and personal development. The Affiliate Assistance Committee consults with affiliates de- siring assistance in establishing their organizations and in developing suc- cessful public and professional service programs. In addition, through the Sub- grants Committee, the AOP awards monetary grants to assist affiliates in initiating new programs.
