It is even more of a privilege to succeed as great a President as Joe Foster who, with his beloved Jan, has guided the College with outstanding skill and care dur- ing the last year. Under Joe's leadership, John Wallace and his Program Committee of Jon Blattmachr, Jack Bruce and Jack Lombard crafted a truly outstanding Program for the Buena Vista Meeting, as was attested to by the largest number of Fellows (426) including the most first-time attendees (79) in College history. New Program Chairman Mal Moore (and his Committee Members John Cohan, Rod Houghton, Fred Keydel and Mac Plant - who request suggested topics and speakers), and I, hope to eclipse even these records at the Maui Annual Meeting February 11-14, 1987 (Main Arrival Date, February 10th - Departure Date, February 15th). In that connection, the Maui Hyatt-Regency and its beach-front grounds are really spectacular as you will see from the cover of our Program-Brochure when it comes out next Fall. Because Febru- ary is peak season, rooms at the Hotel will be tight before, during and after the Meeting, so that early Hotel reservations are extremely desirable in order to assure room availability. Therefore an Early Registration Form is enclosed &lith this issue which you can send to the ACPC Office along with your Sheck payable to the Hyatt-Regency for your first requested night, if you wish o insure that you will get the Reservations of your choice. And remember that the Opening Breakfast is not until Wednesday morning February 11th, so that arrival during the weekend before will allow a delightful interlude be- fore the substantive programs begin. (We are protected by the Hotel's lower Meeting Rates, as to progressively smaller numbers of rooms, up to three days before February 10th and after February 14th.) In the meantime, the new College year brings changes in College leader- ship, such as Ron Gother, Mac Trapp and Bill Haught as members of the Executive Committee, Tom Eubank as Chairman of the Nominating Commit- tee, Jack Bruce as Chairman of the Editorial Board, Waller Horsley as Editor of Probate Notes, Ev Zack as Editor of Studies, Mary Levin as Chairman of the Office Management Committee, Dave Comfeld as Chairman and Tom Sweeney as Vice-Chairman of the Estate and Gift Tax Committee, Shirley Peterson as Chairman of the Transfer Tax Study Committee, Chuck Collier as Chairman of the State Laws Committee, Bill McGehee as Chairman of the Professional Standards Committee, and twenty-six new State Chairmen.
