1. At 1715 2. .uly 1959    lng distance call case in for !r. Thomas
J. Flores from Subject. r. hcres was on leave and tne 'riter too' he
call from Subject iderntifying hers  f by first nane only.
2. Subject said he had obtained information in Miarifrom Ftwst|t4
crowd that BATISTA would enter Miai fron the Doninican Republic clan-
destinely that night or the follving morning, anl wculd be stooping at
the Biltmore Hotel. He said that h want ed this infor-iaLio1 given to
General Cabell a'nd wanted to know whetze or not the Agency want-d him
to attempt' to* obtain further infcrnation on the subject which he said
ire believed he co'ld do. I told him that he would be called later and he
left thc following nambers in Miami where he could be reached:
Falanklin 9-1675, which he said was the office fruii which he was calling;
and HIghland 8-9U3 and -HIghland 4-5273, apparently hones which he
expected to visit that evening.
3. I gave this infornation to Mr. Gomcc, .Cr/ , who was still in
his office and he instructed me to call Subject and tell him ve were
interestd in ay furthcr infor,ation he could obtain concerning
BATISTAt entry into the United States; nnd-to ask Subject to report
any r4ch infornatioq to Mr. Jastin Cleichauf, 00 Ccntacts Representative
in Miani, until Mr. [?loresJretrned to ;-ashin-ton.

had been passed up the line; that we were interested in any additional
infor-ation bo could obtain and asked hin to get in.tou!'h vith, Mr.

Cox was in Miadi at that time and in talking to hiei Cox had implied
to Subject that he was employed by CIA. :e asked for any information
