a a.,The reference advised the Mexico City Stat thA two members of the
aban delegation to the United Nation, Jose Manuel ALARDY Alarcon and Oscar
4uTIE'RREZ Fernandez, both identified as Cuban Intelligence Officers, had-purchbaed
vat surplus items (uniforms, belte, boots etc.), in New York during April 1966
iflad subsequently shipped these items to Mexico in 41 white canvas bags
veighing a total of 657 pounds.
2. Upon receipt of the above information, the details were pased to
LICOMET*2 who was instructed to alert his sources at the Mexico City airport and
advise the Station if the shipment had transited Mexico City and where it had
gone. LICOMET-2 then alerted LICOMTs-19, 20 and 21 to the facts on a need to
know basis and according to him, threw the airport into a mild uproar.
