made durin the year from July 1, 1905, to June 30, 1906, has
been issued. Price, 10 cents.

Washington, D. C., July 19, 1906.
The rules of the Patent Office relating to the registration of
trade-marks, revised edition of December 1, 1905, have been amend-
ed, to take effect Jaly 19, 1906, as follows:
(1) Rule 17, oancel the following:

so that as amended the rule shall read-
17. Except as provided oy section 3 of the act of May 4, 1906, no
trade mark will be registered to an applicant residing or located in
a foreign country unless such country, by treaty. convention, or
law, affords sini. :   .     to the citizens of the United States,

reistration of his trade-mark in the country where he resides or

(2) Rule 68 is canceled, and the followin is substituted therefor:
68. The OFFICIAL GAZETTE of the Patent Office will contain a
list of all trade-marks registered, giving, in each case, a statement
of the goods to which the trade-mark is applied, the name and ad-
dress of t.e l rli ret. the date of filing and serial number of the
onm   rti-=*:.  i : .:ate of the publication of the trade mark in
