Notice
In accordance with the provisions of rule 17 of the
Rules of Practice in the United States Patent Office, an
examination for the registration of attorneys and agents
to practice before the United States Patent Office will be
held on Wednesday, August 21, 1946.
This examination may be taken in any of the large
cities of the country and will be given under the direction
of the Civil Service Commission. Applications to take the
examination should be made to the Commissioner of
Patents and such applications must be received in the
Patent Office not later than August 5, 1946.
Application blanks may be obtained from the Chief Clerk
of the Patent Office.

James Rowland & Company, its assigns or legal representa-
tives, take notice:
An interference having been declared by this Office be-
tween the application of Gorton-Pew Fisheries Company,
Ltd., 327 Main Street, Gloucester, Mass., for registration
of a trade-mark and trade-mark registered August 21,
1906, No. 55,876, (renewed), to James Rowland & Com-
pany, 84 Hudson Street, New York, N. Y., and the notice
of such declaration sent by registered mail to said James
Rowland & Company at the said address having been
returned by the post office as undeliverable, notice is
hereby given that unless said James Rowland & Company,
its assigns or legal representatives, shall enter an appear-
ance therein within thirty days from the first publication
of this order the interference will be proceeded with as
in the case of default. This notice will be published in
the OFFICIA. GAZETTE for three 'Consecutive weeks.
