Important Notice as to Prints and Labels
Under the provisiosS of the Act of Congress approved
July 31, 1939, tile Connissioner of Patents is required
to return to tile respective applicants all applications for
the registration of prints and labels pending in the
Patent Office and uncleared at the close of business Jule
30, 1940, together witl all funds paid or deposited in
connection Iherowith; the Register of Copyrigllts being
charged with the registration of prints and labels com-
mencing July 1, 1940.
Since it is unlikely that certificates of registration
could be issued by the Patent Office, within the prescribed
time, upon applications filed or amended later than May
15, 1940, it is suggested that new     applications, and
amendments in tlsose pending, be withheld after that date,
thus avoiding unnecessary expense and possible confusion.

Mode Publishing Co., Inc., its assigns or legal represen-
tatives, take notice:
A  cancellation proceeding having been instituted by
this Office upon the application of Coast-To-Coast Publish-

lag Co., Inc., 501 Madison Avenue, New York, N. Y., to
effect the cancellation of trade-mark registration No.
234,181, issued October 18, 1927, to Mode Publishing Co.,
Inc., 15 West Thirty-seventh Street, New York, N. Y.,
and a notice of such proceeding sent by registered mail
to said Mode Publishing Co., Inc. at said address having
been returned by the post office as undeliverable, notice
is hereby given that unless said Mode Publishing Co.,
Inc., its assigns or legal representatives, shall enter an
appearance therein within thirty days from the first
publlcation of this order the cancellation will be proceeded
with as in case of default. This notice will be published
in the OFFICIAL GAZETTE for three consecutive weeks.

Adverse Decisions in Interference
In interferences involving the indicated claims of the
following patents final decisions have been rendered that
the respective patentees were not the first inventors with
